Bangkok Soi #2
Oil on Canvas 120 cm x 90 cm Available
The second painting that is part of a pair of large paintings depicting a Bangkok alley ("soi") crowded with shoppers. Two figures are walking away from the viewer and a distant central figure waves to them trying to prevent them from walking down the street to a darkened market shop with shadowy figures. The alley continues in the distance around the corner, the figures walking away from the viewer appear to be Asian; Thai presumably, while the distant figure in the center appears to be Western ("farang"). What path on the soi or in life is he trying to warn them not to pursue?
